How does Atlanta stack up as a Super Bowl city?

“Transportation wise, logistics, the infrastructure is there. I think people are here having a good time,” explained Bryan Cunningham, Super Bowl LIV Host Committee Member.

ATLANTA — Kickoff is almost here.

Millions of people are in town not only to see who will take home the Vince Lombardi trophy but to enjoy what Atlanta has to offer.

So, 11Alive hit the streets this weekend to talk to people in town for the big game

“We got in yesterday.  The weather is awesome, and the people are amazing,” said Gail Guninassa.

Guninassa and her husband flew into town from New Hampshire to cheer on the New England Patriots.

“When we were at the airport people had banners and gave us flags to wave around cheered us all for coming,” mentioned Christine Campbell, who flew in from Boston.

While some fans we spoke with like the southern hospitality, we wanted to know how does Atlanta stack up as a Super Bowl city?

“Transportation wise, logistics, the infrastructure is there.  I think people are here having a good time,” explained Bryan Cunningham, Super Bowl LIVE Host Committee Member.

Cunningham is in town to learn from Atlanta as Miami prepares to host Super Bowl LIV.

“Everybody is here to help you from directions to everything.  It’s been just so positive of an experience,” Guninassa said.

The consensus so far on Atlanta?

“So far a thumbs up,” Campbell mentioned.

“I think it’s a thumbs up.  I think Atlanta was ready,” said Cunningham.

“I’ll give it a thumbs up,” stated Nick Long, in town from Florida.

So, there you have it Atlanta.
