Local teen fulfills 'Jeopardy!' dream

A Peachtree City teen will take the buzzer against other students on Jeopardy!

Peachtree City — Maya Wright grew up watching ‘Jeopardy!.’ Now the 12th grader is seeing a childhood dream come true.

"I’ve always wanted to be on 'Jeopardy!' since I was about five years old, and I just really wanted to try out and see what I could do,” Wright said.”

A student at East Coweta High School in Peachtree City, GA, Wright will appear in the teen tournament, which begins on Nov. 7.

She's a fan of human anatomy and pop culture categories, and her study tips for succeeding on the show? Learn as much as possible.

“Whatever I found interesting, I just studied that as deeply as I possibly could,” she said. “And it really helps lead into other avenues of learning information.”
