ROSWELL, Ga. — He didn't have a pulse when officer Kowalske found him.

A year ago, the Roswell Police Officer responded to a business after getting a call about a man who was unresponsive and not breathing.

When Kowalske got there, and couldn't find a pulse, he jumped into action and performed chest compressions until EMS arrived.

On the one-year anniversary of the officer's life-saving actions, that man, Mr. Turner, went by the Roswell Police Department to personally thank officer Kowalske for saving his life.

The department posted about the the emotional reunion on Facebook, writing how the officer got hugs from both Turner and his grateful wife.

"Officers usually do not have a chance to reunite with people after an incident, so it means a lot to Officer Kowalske to personally see Mr. Turner and know that he is doing well."
