25 residents displaced after early morning apartment fire

No injuries have been reported at this time.

CLARKSTON, Ga. - DeKalb Fire and Rescue battled a blaze at an apartment complex located on 751 North Indian Creek Drive early Monday morning.

A total of eight apartment homes were impacted by the fire and 25 residents have been displaced.

The Red Cross is assisting the residents at this time.

"Red Cross Disaster Action Team Volunteers are currently helping families displaced by an early morning fire at The Lakes at Indian Creek Apartments, 751 N Indian Creek Dr, Clarkston, GA 30083. Eight apartment homes are impacted, affecting approximately 25 people. Volunteers are meeting one-on-one with the families and assisting with immediate emergency needs such as lodging, food and clothing. Caseworkers will continue to work with the families in the week ahead to help them get back on their feet."

No injuries have been reported at this time.
