ACWORTH, Ga. -- Acworth Police have made an arrest in the case where a man was robbed at gunpoint while delivering pizza to a motel.
Police took 19-year-old Yahaakob M. Estes-Robinson into custody Wednesday.
Officers said the victim was making a delivery to the Super 8 motel on Cowan Road around 11:20 p.m. Monday. He was allegedly approached by two men with guns who forced him to his knees
The robbers took the victim's keys, cell phone, $18, the pizza, and his dark blue Hyundai Santa Fe.
Tuesday, authorities found the victim's SUV in the Grove Park subdivision area. While investigating, a detective saw two men, believed to be the suspects in the armed robbery, walking in the area. As the detective approached the suspects, they ran away. Authorities first named the man in the photo as a person of interest.
However, the investigative work led detectives to match clothing and identify the person in the picture.
