ACWORTH, Ga. — Police are working to understand how an argument on Friday ended in explosive violence hours later.
Acworth police were called to the Lake Park subdivision Friday night off of Baker Road to reports of a shooting in the area. They soon learned that what happened that night and boiled over from something earlier in the day.
"The incident stemmed from an altercation between the victim and the shooter earlier today," police said in a prepared statement.
They didn't go into many details about what exactly that disagreement was but did say the shooting victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
