ATLANTA -- An untagged ambulance led Georgia State Patrol on a chase down I-20 Thursday afternoon, crashing in a neighborhood off of Flat Shoals Road.
GSP confirms that a trooper noticed the ambulance attempting to cross the gore coming from Hill Street onto the I-20 East exit ramp. That ambulance did not have a state tag.
The ambulance attempted to out run the trooper after he attempted a traffic stop. The ambulance exited the interstate onto Flat Shoals Road and struck a parked car and a telephone pole before coming to a stop.
The driver and passenger were both arrested after the chase. The driver was taken to Grady hospital. The passenger was released without charges.
