Argument ends in gunfire, leaving one person dead

Investigators are still trying to piece together what happened.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — People on the scene of a DeKalb County fatal shooting were visibly shaken after learning of a loss of a loved one.

DeKalb police are working to piece together the shooting that took place Tuesday night on Belvedere Lane.

Police believe the victim got into an argument with another man.

One person was driving near the scene and said he heard the shooting.

"I heard maybe three to five gunshots, pulled my window down, heard, you know, a lot of screaming, pulled my vehicle over off Memorial. I thought it was crazy. I'm a homeowner and I wanted to like...I wanted to follow the car, but I'm not prepared to do that," the man said.

Police have identified a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. The name has not been released yet.

They are still investigating.
