Pride Run 5K at Piedmont Park | Guide

ATLANTA — Runners can kick off Pride Month in Atlanta at Piedmont Park this weekend with a 5K hosted by Front Runners ATL.

The Pride Run is open to all, and all proceeds earned will go to local charities fighting against HIV and AIDS, according to the event's webpage.

To register for the run, head here to pay the fees associated, space is limited. Here's more information for those attending:

Parking and Transit for Pride Run 

Paid parking is available at the Botanical Gardens/Piedmont Park deck. Street parking is also available in the surrounding neighborhoods; please be considerate!  The start/finish line is located across from the Greystone. 

Public transit and ride-sharing are strongly encouraged. Piedmont Park is approximately 1.2 miles from the Arts Center or Midtown MARTA rail stations on the Red/Gold lines.

Pride Run Race Route

Pickup Pride Run Bib 

Early Packet Pickup: June 2 (5 p.m. - 9 p.m.), June 3 (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.) at Lululemon, 1168 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, GA 30318

Race Morning: Check-in will open promptly at 7a.m.; organizers said to arrive sooner than later to get your race packets.  The race starts promptly at 8 a.m.

Pride Run Awards

There will be awards for: 

  • Overall M/F/Nonbinary
  • Overall Masters M/F/Nonbinary
  • Overall Grand Masters M/F/Nonbinary
  • Top three finishers in each age group ( Male, Female, Nonbinary )  

Fundraising Awards 

Team Fundraising: The top fundraising team will receive a prize, as well as bragging rights!

Individual Fundraising: Participants that fundraise $250 or more will receive special prizes including water bottles, hats and backpacks. 

The top fundraising individual will receive a prize, as well as bragging rights!

Do the Pride Run Virtually 

Participants that can't make it to the park but want to support the cause can submit their recorded time on or before June 4. After the event date, virtual packages will be shipped out on the following Monday. It should be noted that shipping is only available for the continental US.

Is this a Peachtree Qualifier? 

Yes, it is! This race has been certified (USATF certification GA23004WC) and approved.
