Bank of America highlights $1.9 million in grants to local nonprofits

Bank of America held its second annual giving spree on Friday, where the bank highlighted 19 out of 46 local nonprofits as part of $1.94 million in grants that it has awarded this year.

Bank of America held its second annual giving spree on Friday, where the bank highlighted 19 out of 46 local nonprofits as part of $1.94 million in grants that it has awarded this year.

There were six check presentation stops during the giving spree, as well as a lunch celebration for all grant recipients.

According to Bank of America, the giving spree is part of its focus on building pathways to economic mobility by awarding grants to organizations working to increase access to affordable housing, education and basic needs and support community revitalization, career advancement and environmental conservation in Atlanta.

Stops along the giving spree include the Atlanta Police Foundation; the Latin American Association; 100 Black Men of Atlanta; the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership; Warrick Dunn Charities; and Year Up.
