Blustery conditions force some cancellations for Saturday

The stormy conditions from Post-Tropical Cyclone Nestor are forcing changes for some events on Saturday

ATLANTA — The blustery conditions in metro Atlanta and north Georgia on Saturday have forced some cancellations and changes to events.

The Homecoming parade at Clark Atlanta University has been relocated to the university's gymnasium.

Up in Jackson County, the Hoschton Fall Festival Parade has been canceled, although the remainder of that city's fall festival is going forward as planned.

The Rivers Alive stream clean-up in Milton has been canceled.

The Snellville Fall Festival and Senior Center Craft Show has been canceled. 

The Taste of Atlanta is still going forward at Atlanta's Historic Old Fourth Ward Park, but anyone who wants to go is advised to make sure to dress warmly before venturing out.

Homecoming for the University of Georgia in Athens is still going forward as scheduled, however, so bundle up before going tailgating and going to the football game Saturday night!
