BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — A stretch of a Brookhaven street is shut down Friday afternoon as crews work to determine the cause of a gas leak.
Brookhaven Police told 11Alive Caldwell Road between Redding Road and Ashford Road is currently closed. A couple of homes nearby also had to be evacuated.
Brookhaven Police, Atlanta Gas Light and the DeKalb Fire Department are currently on the scene.
The cause of the leak is unknown at this time.
