Victims identified in Buford double shooting

One person was killed and another wounded

BUFORD, Ga. -- Gwinnett police identified the two men shot, Tuesday, in the Duncan Park neighborhood in Buford.

The man killed in the incident has been identified as Blake Schulte, 20, of Buford.

A second man, Alexander Scott, 16, of Doraville, was wounded. His condition is unknown.

Police said they received a 911 call to report hearing gunshots at 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in front of the neighborhood clubhouse at the end of Express Lane in the cul-de-sac. He was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville and eventually underwent surgery.

Just before 7 a.m., officers found a second victim, this one dead, inside of a vehicle about 200 to 300 yards away from the original crime scene. The vehicle and body were found along a dirt road under power lines at the back of the neighborhood.

The Gwinnett County Police Department K9 Unit, along with the Aviation Unit, searched the area for any additional victims or suspects and evidence.

The identity of the shooter is still unknown at this time, according to police.
