3 arrested after Home Depot customer's account showed fraudulent activity

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- An undercover operation helped catch three people accused of fraudulent activity at Home Depot.

Alonia Shameka Perkins, Juan Ramon Winter, and Arthur Orlando Parris from Jacksonville, Florida, were arrested by Cartersville Police on Friday.

During the month of September, officers received multiple reports about fraudulent activity. On Sept. 15, investigators conducted an undercover operation at the Cartersville Home Depot.

Authorities said the three suspects tried to commit additional financial frauds but were caught.

Winter and Perkins are charged with conspiracy to commit financial identity fraud, two counts of financial identity fraud, five counts of financial transaction card fraud, and forgery 3rd degree and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

In addition, Winter faces an false identification charge.

Parris only faces the charges of conspiracy to commit financial identify fraud, and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

Additional arrests are expected, the police said.
