A familiar Cartersville face is on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
"The Tigers roared. Tide gets rolled," SI tweeted with a photo of the magazine cover of Trevor Lawrence.
The Georgia native and true freshman helped lead his team to victory in Monday night's game as Clemson defeated Alabama.
The final score was 44 to 16.
Lawrence attended Cartersville High School and crafted his skills playing football there. He had a chance to put his small town in the big spotlight with Lawrence in the quarterback position as the Tigers crushed Alabama.
Lawrence threw 347 yards and helped the team get three touchdowns.
SI also tweeted a photo of his teams on the cover of a commemorative issue of the magazine.
Alabama won last year when they defeated Georgia in overtime.
