ATLANTA -- Trees Atlanta says it will plant a grove of up to 200 trees at Chastain Park to honor 200 new donors. The tree planting is part of the organization's Chastain Park Woodland project and is being done in partnership with Chastain Park Conservancy.

"Trees Atlanta has been an invaluable resource in Atlanta and we are honored they have selected Chastain Park for this initiative," said Chastain Park Conservancy Executive Director Rosa McHugh. "Two hundred native trees will provide a wonderful learning and beautification opportunity to our two current initiatives -- a new playground and the widening of the Powers Ferry PATH trail."

McHugh added, "Chastain's 268 acres and 2 million annual visitors will greatly benefit from the generosity of Trees Atlanta and its donors."

Volunteers from both organizations will plant the trees, McHugh said.

A $25 donation is designated "Redbud level," while a gift of $50 is designated "Dogwood level," and a $1,000 donation is "Oak level."
