12-year-old killed running into road, caretaker injured trying to stop him, police say

His caretaker was also hit and is injured.

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A 12-year-old boy was killed Friday when he and his caretaker were hit by a car.

Clayton County Police said the boy ran into the street when his caretaker unsuccessfully tried to stop him.

The boy died at the hospital, they said. The man is listed in serious condition.

It happened near the intersection of Noahs Ark Road and Floyd Road. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
