Local motorcycle clubs take to the streets for the Redemption Ride

Businesses, Motorcycle clubs, and artists came out in support for Atlanta Redemption Ink's benefit ride

CONYERS, Ga. — Unlike the rest of the hoopla that surrounded Super Bowl LIII back in February, sex trafficking didn’t pack its bags and leave town. So, while the spotlight has moved onto other things, the reality of trafficking remains a very real issue for the Peach State. That’s where Atlanta Redemption Ink comes in. This Georgia-based non-profit organization started in the spring of 2017 with a simple mission. Helping survivors of sex trafficking, former gang members, self-harmers, and those in addiction recovery find a way to transition of that lifestyle.

‘We don’t focus on the victimization of it because they’re no longer victims. That’s not their identity anymore,” says ARI ambassador, Ryn Hammontree “So now we’re just trying to help them get to a point of healing. Getting their scars or branding tattoos covered.”

Atlanta Redemption Ink founder, Jessica Lamb, along with her dedicated network of tattoo artists, removal specialists and other non-profit partnerships have worked diligently to create a safe haven for those in need.

On Saturday, June 1st, in collaboration with Iron Mules, Falcons Fury Harley-Davidson, and other local businesses, Atlanta Redemption Ink held its inaugural Redemption Ride. This benefit ride featured a nearly fifty bike motorcade that included members from several local motorcycle clubs. The Ride is only the second fundraiser held by the non-profit since its inception.

“The other non-profits, they get a lot of support. The more popular ones” says Iron Mules president, Daniel Robinson “We wanted to lend something to the ones that don’t get as much attention.”

Their next upcoming fundraiser, ‘The Unhindered’ is a benefit dinner and will be held in September. The proceeds from the dinner will provide support for our alternative diploma program, trauma-informed therapy, and continue supporting the cover-ups and removals for victims of sex trafficking, former self-harmers, and survivors of gang violence.
