PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. -- Part of Paulding County is under a boil water advisory after a hardware failure and resulting low water pressure earlier in the day.
The failure happened at the Bell Road booster pump station which supplies water to the Union and Yorkville areas of the county.
Authorities with the Paulding County Water System said customers in those areas should boil all water prior to drinking, cooking and preparing baby food. The boiling process should continue one minute after reaching a rolling boil to ensure it is safe.
Residents should continue to boil water until further notice which will come when the water system is restored and samples come back clean from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division.
