Service restored in Decatur after water main break, but water still flowing down Coventry Road

Crews are still working to stop the flow of water down Coventry Road.
Although water service has been restored for customers in Decatur, DeKalb Watershed Management officials said there is still a leak that crews are working to stop on Coventry Road.

DECATUR, Ga. -- DeKalb Watershed Mangement crews have restored water service to customers affected customers in the 700 block of Coventry Road in Decatur, but, officials said water is still running down the roadway.

About 150 to 200 customers had their service interrupted when a 16-inch water main was damaged by contractors who bored a hole in that location.

Although service was restored for customers during the early morning hours on Saturday, water was still flowing down Coventry Road. Crews are still working to cap that part of the leak.

Watershed Management officials said that any customers who experience brown water from their taps should run the water until it is clear.
