CONYERS, Ga. -- What began as a domestic call in Rockdale County lead to a police chase and an officer-involved shooting.
A spokesperson for Conyers police said Rockdale County deputies responded to a domestic call this morning. The subject was somehow able to get past deputies and into a car.
A lookout on the suspect's car was given to Conyers police who spotted the car and initiated a traffic stop. The subject did not stop and the Conyers officer gave chase.
The details of what happen next are not clear, but shots were fired and the suspect was hit and was transported to Grady Hospital in Atlanta. Neither the Conyers Officer nor the Deputy were injured. The GBI is on scene investigating.
