Neighbors describe bullets flying like 'fireworks' outside Douglasville home

One man was shot in the torso at the home on Lakemoore Court, Paulding County officials said.

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. — A home was shot multiple times and the yard littered with shell casings in Paulding County, according to police. One man was shot in the torso but is expected to survive, according to police.

Authorities were called to the home on May 13 at about 9:20 p.m. after several calls reporting gunshots. The front of the home was littered with shell casings. Residents told police they initially thought someone was shooting fireworks outside the home, but then the bullets came through the walls.

There is no suspect description and police said they don’t know why the home was targeted, according to police.
