Remains of missing Douglasville teacher found

Larry Bolen went missing in May 2015.

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- The remains of a Douglas County teacher who has been missing since 2015 have been found.

According to the Douglas County sheriff's department, the remains of Larry Bolen were found along I-20 eastbound, about one mile west of Highway 5.

Bolen taught at Alexander High School in Douglasville. He also previously taught at Lithia Springs High School. He had been scheduled to retire shortly before he went missing in May 2015.

Bolen's van was found several days later. His 1992 Oldsmobile Silhouette was found by a security guard in Hunter Memorial Park in Douglasville.

Police found no evidence to indicate foul play at the time,
