ATLANTA — Officials have arrested a 21-year-old in connection to the murder of a homeless man who was beaten to death, just blocks away from the Fox Theatre.
Atlanta Police said they arrested 21-year-old Micheal Johnson Monday morning in the 800 block of Peachtree Street, the same area where 59-year-old Moses Cooper was found beaten.
Police said Johnson was taken into custody without incident and taken to Fulton County Jail on a murder charge.
It was around 2 a.m. Sept. 5 when officers responded to the 800 block of Peachtree Street after a person flagged them down.

When they got there, police found Cooper allegedly beaten and lying on the sidewalk. Cooper was pronounced dead on the scene from severe head trauma.
