Drunk driver arrested after leaving path of destruction in Buckhead

The crash caused some scattered power outages from Georgia 400 and Lenox Road to Piedmont Road and East Paces Ferry Road NE.

ATLANTA - A man was taken into custody after driving drunk through Buckhead, leaving a path of destruction behind him.

The 23-year-old male was speeding in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck down Lenox Road and crashed at the intersection of Piedmont Road and Carson Lane.

The truck came to a stop right next to a Chipotle restaurant after striking a utility pole, a fire hydrant and an electronic-pedestrian walk signal.

According to Georgia State Patrol, the driver was intoxicated but uninjured.
