12-year-old Duluth boy hit and killed by three cars, police say

The boy had serious injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital, where he later died.

A 12-year-old boy died in the intersection of Pleasant Hill near Woodberry Drive in Duluth after he was struck by three cars.

DULUTH, Ga. — A 12 year old boy has died after he was hit by three different cars as he attempted to cross Pleasant Hill Road near Woodberry Drive Tuesday night, according to Gwinnett County Police. 

Police said when they arrived to the scene, shortly after 7 p.m., the boy had serious injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital where he later died.

Investigators later determined the young boy wasn't in a crosswalk. 

The three drivers stayed at the scene and will not face any criminal charges, officials said.

The Gwinnett County Police Department said they have notified the parents and send their thoughts to his family and friends during this difficult time.
