Early Sunday afternoon, officials said the Boil Water Order for the city of East Point has been lifted.
The order went into effect Saturday after a break in a 16-inch water main at the intersection of Kimmeridge Drive and North Clark Drive.
Officials said the water main break was caused by the city's aging infrastructure.
Crews completed work to the water main before 8 a.m. on Saturday. Officials had kept a boil water advisory in place through early Sunday afternoon while the system was tested to ensure the water was safe for human consumption.
