Woman charged with manslaughter in shooting death of live-in boyfriend

Investigators arrived in Flowery Branch to find the man dead of a gunshot wound to the torso.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — A Hall County woman is being held in jail for manslaughter in the death of her live-in boyfriend early Saturday morning.

According to the Hall County Sheriff's Office, 911 dispatchers received a call around 1:45 a.m. from a woman who said she had shot her boyfriend in the 5100 block of Sable Court in Flowery Branch.

Deputies and investigators arrived to find 44-year-old Everton Carter dead from a gunshot wound to the torso. Further investigation revealed that the call was placed by 48-year-old Sabrina Banks Turner who was still on the scene when they arrived.

Turner was arrested without incident and now faces one count of voluntary manslaughter following her interview. Authorities said no one else was home at the time of the shooting and the shooting appears to be the result of a domestic incident.

The case remains under investigation.
