GA Tech students robbed at gunpoint, police search for suspects

Both students attend Georgia Tech.

ATLANTA - Police are searching for the suspects who robbed two Georgia Tech students at gunpoint.

On Wednesday, January 25, officers were dispatched to 470 16th Street NW for reports of a pedestrian robbery.

When the officer arrived, he met with two victims. The first victim said he was approached by two black males in their 20s at the parking garage entrance. The victim told police that one of the suspects remained with him while the second suspect confronted the victim's friend.

The suspect was described as wearing all black clothing which included a hoodie and brandished a gray pistol.

He demanded money and the victim raised his hands and allowed the suspect to take his American Tourister book bag, a gray Apple MacBook Pro laptop, a gold iPhone 5S and his apartment keys.

The second suspect was described as wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans who also had a gray pistol. He demanded the second victim follow the first victim's actions and surrendered his belongings.

The suspect took a silver iPhone 6, a blue Northface book bag, silver MacBook Pro laptop and a blue wallet.

Both victims told police that the suspects then got into a parked car on 16th Street and headed eastbound in a black sedan.
