DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A grandma is still in the hospital after a car full of teens crashed into several vehicles at a Lithonia gas station Monday night, pinning her against a pump.
Now the hunt is on for the teens who caused the crash.
It all happened at a gas station off Evans Mill Road.
Stacy Moore was pumping gas, when out of nowhere, a car crashed into her. Her two grandchildren were in the backseat. Investigators say the gray Chevy Malibu turned into the station at a high rate of speed, causing the chain reaction. Four vehicles were a part of the crash.
The gas pump where the 61-year-old was trapped tipped over, falling onto a Mercedes that was parked on the other side.
Police say three teens were inside the car that started the crash and they all jumped out and ran from the scene. There is surveillance video of what happened, but it is not being released at this time.
Moore was listed in critical condition initially, but officials say she is improving. Her grandchildren, who were in the car at the time of the accident, are expected to be fine.
