The winning ticket was sold in Decatur.

ATLANTA -- A Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Decatur, Georgia, in the December 12 drawing, according to Georgia Lottery officials.

The ticket was bought at the Publix located on Flakes Mill road. It matched the game's first five winning numbers, but missed out on the Powerball, which would been worth $228 million.

The winners have not come forward yet, according to the Georgia Lottery.

Powerball winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.
