ATLANTA — Atlanta-based juice bar Ju-Tox has thousands of followers on Instagram.
The company also has a mission: to spread wellness in local neighborhoods. The latest location in Castleberry Hill offers an alternative to locals on the Westside lacking easy access to grocery stores.
The idea for JU-TOX first launched in 2013 in William Brooks' home.
"I would walk in different neighborhoods, and they would have different products, and I would see nothing healthy in communities," Brooks said.
He started paying close attention to labels, ingredients and learning about sugar intake and acidity, ultimately transforming his own lifestyle and eliminating processed foods.
Ultimately, Brooks customized and developed a brand of healthy products, expanding locations across Atlanta as well as a Los Angeles bar. Ju-Tox's menu featuring an array of certified organic smoothies, cold-pressed juices, acai bowls and more. The focus on nutrition complemented by a workout room and wellness services.
"That's actually our mission to really give people the healthy option in all neighborhoods," Chuck
The team hoping Ju-Tox's open doors and enticing swings will interest those walking by.
"We really want people, all people to know this is for everybody," Guider said. "This is not for the athlete only. We're talking about eight to 80."
