A DeKalb County jury found a man guilty of shooting and killing his fiancée.

Antione Hood, 31, was convicted of felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Hood had called 911 on Feb. 17, 2016 to report that his fiancée, Candace McGriff, had fatally shot herself. He had told police that he and McGriff were having a heated argument and then McGriff turned the gun on herself and fired.

A Medical Examiner's forensic investigator testified during the trial and said that evidence showed that McGriff did not fire the gun on herself.

Hood will be sentenced at a later date.
