Man robs Buckhead SunTrust; police release images

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Buckhead SunTrust Bank on Sept. 8.  

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Buckhead SunTrust Bank on Sept. 8.

Police say the man stood in line inside of the bank briefly, and when he was assisted by a teller he verbally stated something similar to, "Give me the money." He then presented the teller with a demand note written on white piece of paper.

During the robbery, the suspect lifted his shirt exposing a black colored pistol tucked in his waistband. He was given an undetermined amount of cash and was last seen walking west on Pharr Road.


The suspect is described as a white male, middle-aged, approximately 6 feet tall with an an average build; a thin light-colored mustache; and a pock-marked face. He was wearing a plain black baseball cap; silver or gray sunglasses with dark lenses; a blue long-sleeved button-up shirt with a button-down collar; light blue pants; and black and white athletic shoes.

The suspect’s left hand was wrapped in a bandage covering his wrist and a portion of his hand.
