MARIETTA, Ga. -- Another sit-in was held at a metro Atlanta Waffle House on Saturday, as protestors continue to call attention to a woman's arrest at one of Atlanta-based chain's Alabama restaurants.
This sit-in was held at a Waffle House on Cobb Parkway. Employees greeted customers at the door and handed out gift cards to people who wanted to eat, then suggested the next closest location.
The protests have been spawned by a video of Alabama police wrestling a black woman to the ground and threatening to break her arm during an arrest at a Waffle House. The video has sparked outrage on social media but the restaurant chain said the officers' actions appear to have been justified.
