MARIETTA, Ga -- A man is in jail after allegedly offering to buy a woman's 7-year-old granddaughter for $200.

Einodd Samimi has been charged with enticing a child and criminal solicitation.

Samimi's arrest stems from a May 7, 2018, incident at a Marietta Kroger on Roswell Road.

Police said the girl's grandmother became alarmed when Samimi, according to his arrest warrant, said "how pretty the child's hair was" and began following them around the store.

The grandmother told police she had seen Samimi before at a Cobb Parkway Wal-Mart and during that incident, he requested to "have" her granddaughter for $100.

The grandmother confronted Samimi at the Kroger and police said a "large crowd" of shoppers chased him through the store and to his vehicle. Police followed up at Samimi's residence and arrested him that day.

Samimi made his first court appearance on Wednesday morning. He has not posted his $20,000 bond.
