11Alive went to speak with Cobb County Police to ask how Mallard has been able to get away with impersonating an officer so many times - a question even police have been baffled by.

"I don't know, we just arrest," said Cobb Police spokeswoman Sarah O'Hara. It's upt to a judge what happens after an arrest.

But O'Hara did warn that Mallard's multiple attempts to impersonate officers could turn deadly if he's not careful.

"What he doesn't realize is that he's putting a huge target on his back, because if you are acting in a law enforcement capacity and you run across the wrong person who wants to do harm, you've got a pellet gun and a vest that doesn't have plates in it," she said.

Mallard is charged with the stop sign violation and impersonating a police officer. This time, though, he will be charged as an adult, meaning his penalties may be a bit more strict.
