ATLANTA -- The family of a missing woman who they describe as mentally ill needs the public's help in finding her.

Shaniqua Phillips was reported missing by her sister on Aug. 9 after police said she checked herself out of Grady Memorial Hospital around 2:20 am and did not return.

Hospital personnel noticed her family that she had not returned.

Phillips is described as 5'4," weighing 135 pounds, with a tattoo with her name on her neck and a tattoo with a green $ sign under left eye.

Phillips' family said she has an uncontrollable laughter that is harmless, and has been without her medication. "She is not a threat unless she feels threatened," according to her family. "She is very sick right now."

Anyone who has information on Phillips' whereabouts is asked to call 706-495-8363 or 678-964-9855.
