Arcade Police and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public to be on the lookout for a 14-year-old girl who has been missing since Dec. 2, 2018.
Laila Tuttle was last seen walking on Athens Highway near 82 South, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. She was wearing black pants, a green jacket, black-rimmed glasses and a backback.
Police said mother reported her missing after realizing she wasn't in her room early Sunday morning.
Authorities believe Tuttle could be in the Commerce, Georgia area, after a Good Samaritan told police she saw the teen walking in the cold rain and gave the girl a ride. Police are now focusing their search in that area.
Tuttle is described as a white female, 14 years old, 5 foot 6 inches tall and 160 pounds.
Anyone who has seen Tuttle or has any information is asked to call 911.
