76-year-old man with dementia missing from Gainesville

Robert Stokes might be heading toward Watkinsville, Georgia, police said.

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Gainesville Police is asking for public help to find a missing man with dementia. Robert Stokes, 76, was last seen around 8:45 a.m. near Blueridge Drive. Police said he was driving a cream-colored 2005 Ford Expedition with GA tag PEW7681.

Robert Stokes might be in a similar car heading toward Watkinsville, Georgia, police said.

He was wearing a blue shirt and slacks. Police believe he might be headed toward Watkinsville, Georgia. He is 6’2,” 200 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who sees him or contacts him should call 911, or Gainesville Police at 770-536-8812.
