TUCKER, Ga. — The Gwinnett County Police Department says a previously missing disabled adult has been found safe.

The woman was last seen at her home outside of Tucker. Authorities believed the 23-year-old may have been seen getting in a black car at the time, but said the information was uncorroborated. She went missing around 7:45 a.m., Tuesday

Police said she was non-verbal though her exact medical conditions were not being disclosed. Earlier on Tuesday, police put out her picture and more information in hopes that someone in the public would recognize her and call 911.

Around 7 p.m., authorities confirmed that she was found and was safe. She has since been reunited with her family. Authorities haven't said where or how she was found - or if tips from the public helped them locate her.

She vanished without a trace two years ago. A new documentary hopes to revive her case.
