'I have lost my best friend' | Tragic update in search for missing Henry County man

He was reported missing almost two weeks ago.

Henry County Police are assuming the worst after a body was discovered in the search for a missing 58-year-old man.

Timothy Osborne disappeared nearly two weeks ago after wandering off from his Locust Grove home while his wife was in the shower.  Family members said Osborne has dementia and requires daily medication.

Volunteer groups searched for Osborne the last two weekends. On Monday, the search came to an apparent tragic end when Henry County authorities received a call about a body in the Tussahaw Reservoir. That's near Osborne's home is located.

Crews were able to recover the body. Early indicators are that the body is Osborne, according to Henry County Police Capt. Joey Smith.

After the body was found, Tim Osborne's wife Kelly made an emotional post on Facebook

"I have lost my best friend, soul mate, husband and heart walking outside of my body today. Thank you to everyone for the prayers, searching and support through this nite mare. Please keep my family in your prayers while we try to figure out how to go through life without Tim. I love him with every breath in my body. I’ll miss him until my last breath.... "

The two have been married since they were 18.

Authorities are working to positively identify the body.
