ATLANTA — Authorities are asking for the public's help finding a missing man who may be in danger and hasn't been seen in several days.

Atlanta Police initiated a statewide Mattie's Call on Thursday for 58-year-old Mitchell Lambert. The alert is reserved for the elderly and those with disabilities that may put them in peril.

Police said Lambert has paranoid schizophrenia and hasn't been seen since March 1 when he left his home on William Homes Border. Mitchell was reported missing on Thursday.

He's described as a black male who is about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds with brown eyes and black low-cut hair. Police didn't have a description of his clothing when he went missing.

Anyone with information about Lambert's location is asked to call the Atlanta Police Department's Homicide/Missing Person Unit at 404-546-2472.
