North Ga. police report teen missing as cold weather moves in

Floyd County Police say 16-year-old Mariah Thorp has been missing for several days.

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — Police in Floyd County are on the lookout for a missing teen as some of the most frigid weather of the year so far sets in.

According to police, 16-year-old Mariah Thorp was last seen Thursday at Rome High School wearing a beige jacket with medium-colored jeans and brown ankle boots.

Police haven't reported any further clues regarding her disappearance or if they believe she ran away; however, they describe her as an endangered child. 

Now several days after her disappearance, north Georgia is expecting extremely cold temperatures in the overnight hours.
