Teen missing from Polk County leads to police search

Authorities are asking anyone with information on Savannah Parrish's whereabouts to call them.

POLK COUNTY, Ga. — Police in north Georgia are on the lookout for a teen who they believe has run away from home.

Polk County Police confirmed around 3:40 p.m. that they were searching for 15-year-old Savannah Parrish. They said she was classified as a "runaway juvenile" who went missing from the Buchanan Highway area.

Authorities haven't suggested where Parrish may be heading or the circumstances behind her departure.

She is described as about 5 feet 1 inch tall and about 105 pounds with blue eyes and red hair. Anyone who knows where Parrish is should contact Detective C. Bowman at 678-246-5107 or email cbowman@polkga.org.
