ATLANTA — Police need help finding a 17-year-old who they said ran away from his Atlanta home, Sunday night.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, Riley Smith was last seen on Nov. 17 around 11 p.m. on Saint Charles Avenue NE in Atlanta. 

Police said Smith's mother went to wake her son up for school at around 8 a.m. Monday morning when she discovered that he was not there. She told police she found a note in his room saying he was leaving and not coming back to the house. She told police she checked with his friends and officers checked with the spots Smith frequents, but were unable to find him.

Authorities say Smith is 5'9" tall and weighs 120 pounds. He has curly brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing black Adidas pants and shoes. 

Police said he had been diagnosed with anxiety/depression and is on medication.
