It's been a year since Bill Evans' world fell apart.
It was November 10, 2017 when Carol Evans -- Bill's wife of 52 years -- vanished.
Carol Evans, who has Alzheimer's, wandered away from from and hasn't been since since.
In an interview with 11Alive 10 days after his wife's disappearance, Bill said he had been distracted doing yard work when his 75-year-old wife walked away from their home on Lower Lovelace Road.
The Troup County Sheriff's Office led search parties using horses, candines, helicopters and infrared sensors, drones and hundreds of volunteers.
"Countless hours have been put into this case that still puzzles us to this day," the sheriff's office posted on Friday.
Despite a large cash reward offered, investigators said they have no leads and the case remains open.
