GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Police are investigating after a woman was kidnapped from a hotel on Jimmy Carter Boulevard early Wednesday morning.

Police have identified the kidnapped victim as 20-year-old Christina Day.

At 2:10 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to the Crossland Economy Studios on 7049 Jimmy Carter Blvd. for reports of a carjacking.

When officers arrived, they met with a male victim who told police that he was at the hotel with Day.

Another male suspect then knocked loudly on the hotel door at around 2:00 a.m. and when the victim went to let him in, the suspect had a handgun.

The suspect then took the man's keys and some personal belongings and abducted Day who was in the hotel room.

He fled the scene in the victim's car, taking Day with him.

The car was later recovered in Chamblee by investigators.

Police are treating this incident as a kidnapping at this time and have obtained search warrants to get forensic evidence from inside the hotel room.

Day is described as being a black female with thick dreads, wearing dark jeans, a light colored jean jacket and wore a bright green dress that she tucked in her pants like a shirt. She is tall with a medium/heavy build, weighing about 160-170 lbs. and has a heart tattoo on her left wrist.

The male suspect is described as being a black male with short twists in his hair, scruffy facial hair, 5'8", medium build, wore a dark colored hoodie and has a gold tooth.

Pollice are asking for the public's helping to locate Day to verify she is safe.
