CUMMING, Ga. — The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office announced a new unit to assist motorists on GA 400.
The Traffic Response Vehicle will patrol high-traffic county roads and provide roadside help during weekday rush hours. The truck will operate much like the state's HERO trucks.
Unlike HERO trucks, the Traffic Response Vehicle will also be enforcing traffic laws and issuing citations as needed.
According to a social media post, the officer assigned to the response vehicle got an early start yesterday after fixing the flat tire of a fellow deputy.
