The race starts at 8 a.m. and there is still time to register.

After the race, the city will celebrate the end of the Healthy Point 90-day Health Initiative with food, a game truck, DJ, bounce house, kickball tournament and more.

This is the second year of the Healthy Point challenge championed by Mayor Deana Holiday Ingraham.

"The run/walk is a great way to celebrate accomplishments on our health journey and support our youth," said Mayor Ingraham in a statement. "I am excited to cross the finish line with residents, Council, and staff who are committed to improving the overall health of our community.  Our health is truly our wealth and being healthy is not a size it’s a lifestyle."

The Healthy Point challenge is a 90-day initiative to improve health in East Point. In the last three months, the city has offered workout classes, movie nights and cooking classes to help residents get and stay healthy.
